Introduction: Pregnant leukemia patients should be offered continuation or termination of pregnancy. Treatment in reproductive-age includes consideration contraception. Hormonal intrauterine devices (IUDs) prevent pregnancy and decrease menstrual bleeding. When stabilized, dilation evacuation (D E) levonorgestrel IUD placement was performed. The postoperative course uncomplicated. chemotherapy neutropenia, this APL patient tolerated D E well only routine preoperative antibiotics. Conclusion: Comprehensive options counseling pregnant new diagnoses are imperative, interdisciplinary risks individual prevention during treatment teratogenic potential, avoidance combined hormonal contraception (CHC) coagulopathy risk, reduction the setting pancytopenia management considered.
